This film is about sweetening the world’s food supply, which is sugar. It causes obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and much more that is not good for your health. It shows that today the industry is deploying its old tactics saying that our society intake way more of sugar then what we actually need. The companies "sugar coat" mostly everything bad about sugar. Showing all the health risks of sugar, it also shows the impact on kids. They are are getting fatter and also getting diabetes at early ages. A quote from that film stated, "sugar is killing the future."This film impacted its audience in a negative way about sugar. I think after watching this film, people realize that if you intake to much sugar, it can have very bad consequences. People realized to think about not having to much sugar a day or not taking your child to have ice cream every other night. As quoted in the documentary, it stated, "is sugar the new tobacco?" I think people comprehend that quote and learn how addictive sugar can be the move you consume it. Of course people are still going to have sugar, but try to have less of it.
This film really impacted me. I have a huge, huge sweet tooth. I love getting ice cream, desserts, candy, and all that yummy stuff. I could have it every night, that is how much I love it. After watching the film, it scared me how sugar is addictive as using cocaine, but sugar is legal. I am not obese or have diabetes because I have a high metabolism, but I feel that I should lay off the sweets a little bit. I get my sweet tooth from my dad who recently got diabetes. He loves sugar but it is hard for him but he is trying very hard to eat healthier every day. My dad motivates me eat healthier and try my best to live a healthy lifestyle.
