Fat, Sick, and nearly dead is a film about an overweight man who weighed 310 pounds. His name is Joe Cross. This film shows Joe's journey on losing weight and becoming healthy. He gets rid of junk food and started eating healthier foods such as fruit and vegetable juice for the next 60 days. Joe traveled 3,000 miles while having conversations with over 500 Americans about food and eating healthy. This documentary tells a inspiring story of two completely different men realize that the only person who can save them is themselves by changing the way they eat and live. They have so much in common and they motivate each other to keep going strong. I think this film impacted on the people who are obese and overweight. They are insecure and think they will never be able to lose weight and start to feel insecure about themselves. This film shows inspires people and know they are strong enough to change. You just need to motivate and believe in yourself.
Even though I could not really relate to this documentary, I felt connected. I felt inspired to eat better and be healthier. I could not believe how much weight Joe has loss. He showed that you can achieve anything you put your mind too. I feel that this film is encouraging to others who are obese or feel that they need to change their eating habits. I try to eat healthier about watching the film. Joe shows that you can accomplish anything you put your mind too.
