This documentary Fed Up is about the food industry and the truth behind all the companies. The film also describes the issues about government’s involvement. There are some young people who speak openly about their struggles with weight gain and food addiction. The children eat what their parents eat. It is what they grew up with and think it is okay even though it leads to an unhealthy lifestyle. It shows how the government and the companies only care about the amount of sales of unhealthy products that are sold to adults and children. I think this film impacted the audience by showing the reality of the food that we consume and how unhealthy it really is. People never seem to care about what inside our food or think how damaging it is for our bodies. We care about how good it taste and it can be fun to go out with friends for ice cream, go to the movies and eat candy, or go to our favorite restaurants. After watching the film, I feel that people changed their thoughts on food and think twice before actually consuming it. Learn about what you are eating and know what it can do to your body as well.

Reflection:
This documentary really opened my eyes about food. I always knew that sugar was bad for you but I never knew that it was like a trigger every time you see it. I never realized how badly the animals were treated and it sickening to think about. I love all the sweets treats and have a real sweet tooth but after watching Fed Up, I started to eat less sweets here and there. After doing the Fed Up challenge, it was a rough patch in the beginning but as the days gone by, it became a little easier everyday. Even when the challenge ended, I became to eat healthier and eat less sugar. Now when I go grocery shopping, I like at the label and see where it was processed and what all the ingredients are.
